OUR STORY

Beginning in 1954, in a small home office, our dental practice has a long history of serving the Willmar, Minnesota area. Although we’ve grown substantially since that time, our focus has never changed: providing excellent care for our patients.

MEET THE TEAM

Our team is what makes us excellent!  In order to achieve the level of service and results you deserve we are continually updating our education by participating in dental lectures, meetings, and conventions.  We are at the forefront of new techniques, products, and equipment that become available providing you the highest level of care possible.

DR. ABBIE KERSHNER, DDS

Dr. Kershner and her family moved to Willmar in 2015 after practicing dentistry in Wisconsin for five years to be closer to family.

Dr. Kershner originally grew up in Spencer, Iowa, wanting to be a dentist as far back as middle school. She continued her education from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Bio-Medical and a minor in Spanish. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa.

Dr. Kershner is a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and West Central Dental Society. She enjoys treating patients of all ages, and is committed to providing high quality, comprehensive dental care in a compassionate manner.

Dr. Kershner enjoys being outdoors, golfing, and spending time with her husband, children, and Cockapoo Rosie.

Nicole
NicoleDental Hygienist
Beginning as a registered dental assistant and moving to a dental hygienist, Nicole has been in the dental field for nearly 20 years; almost half of those have been with our practice.

Nicole says “At work I most enjoy working with the patients and getting to know them and their families. It’s a great group of people and office to be part of!”

Outside of work, Nicole enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. She stays quite busy with her kid’s activities and sports. You’ll also find her spending time at the lake, and traveling.

Emily
EmilyDental Hygienist
Emily was inspired from an early age to go into the dental field following in the footsteps of her mother, who is a dental assistant.

Emily has been an important part of Reflections Family Dental practice for nearly 5 years. When asked what Emily enjoys most about her job she responded “I enjoy being a hygienist because I like helping people of all ages and getting to know my patients.”

Emily’s young son Clyde keeps her quite busy outside of work. She enjoys spending time with her family and hanging out with her friends.

Ann
AnnDental Assistant
Ann has been a vital part of this office for nearly 35 years. She says “The relationships that I have made with my patients is amazing. They mean so much to me – each and everyone! I love to see them Smile!”

A native of the Willmar area, she is married with three children and is “Grammie Annie” to two adorable little boys and three grand puppies.

Outside of work Ann enjoys living by the lake and all that comes with it: boating, fishing, campfires and lots of potlucks with family and friends.

Donna
DonnaDental Assistant
Donna and her husband are the proud parents of four married children with eight grandchildren!

Outside of work, Donna enjoys spending time with her family and being active bicycling, gardening, sewing, reading, and traveling.

Having worked in the healthcare industry since high school, one of the highlights of Donna’s career is the interaction with the many regulars patients at Reflections Family Dental. She enjoys seeing and catching up with each of her patients!

Donna
DonnaAdmin/Office Coordinator
Donna has been part of the dental office staff for nearly 15 years. She loves meeting and interacting with the patients; assisting in all areas from scheduling, to coordinating treatment plans, to insurance and financial aspects.

Outside of work Donna enjoys spending time with her husband traveling by camper to State and National Parks. She treasures the time spent with her two sons, daughter-in-law, grandson and two grand puppies!

Kyler
KylerGeneral Manager
Kyler, married to Dr. Abbie Kershner, is the co-founder of Reflections Family Dental. He grew up as an only child in Southeast Iowa with a passion for both golfing and fishing.

Kyler has been at the helm of the many improvements and renovations within the Reflections Family Dental offices.

Outside of the office Kyler enjoys spending time with his family and friends along with completing projects around the house.

Colleen
ColleenDental Assistant
Colleen is an avid fan of the outdoors; whether it be bicycling, gardening or going on long walks, she makes the most of her time outside of work. A creative at heart, she can often be found crafting or sewing.

Spending time with her family and grandchildren is at the top of her list!

When asked what Colleen enjoys most about Reflections Family Dental, Colleen responded “My favorite thing about the office is the great co-workers that I work with and feeling appreciated and valued!”.

“Very family friendly environment. Being new to town this was the perfect place to bring my family. The staff is so friendly and Dr. Kershner is extremely knowledgeable and helped me make informed decisions. Such a great place and would definitely recommend!”
